Hopefully you will listen to my last regularly scheduled radio spot on the Local News Magazine with Bob Soos as I take a break for the next few weeks. Just click on this link and away you go. About 10 minutes. https://y6b047.p3cdn1.secureserver.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/FEB-11-BEA.mp3 I did tell Bob Soos that this is goodbye for the On Air segment of Bea-isms, however I will continue with my blog once I settle in to my new digs because there is still a lot of unfinished business that needs to be discussed. In fact, we mentioned some of the upcoming...

https://y6b047.p3cdn1.secureserver.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/FEB-4-BEA.mp3 On Air this morning with Bob Soos – what do you think we talked about? Do you think there will be anything else discussed other than the fact that the City of Vero Beach will be able to keep its existing service area so as not to disturb the statewide power grid? What was the County Commissioners thinking when they tried to upset this applecart? The County was going to go before the Florida Public Service Commission to persuade them to give the County permission to get rid of...

Here and There

Posted by on Jan 22nd, 2015 in on air | 5 comments

As you may already know, my husband’s health has been declining these past few years and we have decided to pull up stakes in Vero Beach and move closer to the family in Ohio. We will be moving to a suburb of Columbus Ohio called New Albany at the end of February. This is not goodbye, it’s just to inform you all that I will be here and there- here with Bea-isms and there with family. You will still be hearing from me on a regular basis – on Bea-isms and Facebook. This week has been hectic and I realized that I did not do a good job...

https://y6b047.p3cdn1.secureserver.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/JAN-7-BEA.mp3 On today’s broadcast with Bob Soos, I talked about a lot of things but of course the gloat of the day was my kudos to the Ohio State football team. How about them Bucks…they beat the number one team, Alabama. So, the championship game will be between the Bucks and the Ducks. I will look forward to that game. I was a bit puzzled this morning while listening to Pilar Turner talk to Soos right before I came on the air. No matter how he posed the question or how many...

On Air with Bob Soos – 12/17/14

I talked to a person who shall remain anonymous and he tells me that the best way to handle campaign infractions is to contact the elections attorney in Tallahassee and ask the right questions. Ask them very specifically what they would do in a particular scenario. Like, what would you do if you knew that someone did not file his financial reports correctly, or “what would you do if a candidate omitted expenses on his financial report?” And, while you are at it, you might ask the question of the elections attorney, what would be the...

https://y6b047.p3cdn1.secureserver.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/DEC-3-BEA.mp3 On this weeks radio show Bob Soos and I talked about appointments to the Committees and Commissions. Newly elected Randy Old removed Mark Mucher from P & Z (Planning and Zoning) and replaced him with the person of his choice – Linda Hillman. Right out of the chute came the decision to approve the zoning for the new Quail Valley  Hotel and private dining establishment where the Lobster Shanty Restaurant used to be located. A very tall order considering...

https://y6b047.p3cdn1.secureserver.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/NOV-19-BEA.mp3   The anatomy of the vote. That is pretty much what I talked about on the Bob Soos show on Wednesday.
