Chit Chat

Chit Chat“I had announced that I would be retiring from election campaigning after Tuesday, and I am sticking to it” writes Charlie Wilson in his letter to the editor. Do you really believe him? After all, he has said this before and it seems that every election cycle he jumps right back in.

Do you think maybe part of his discontent with election campaigning was because his friend Wesley Davis came up short in his race for Indian River County Property Appraiser? I wonder if Wesley Davis ever had a clue that he might have lost because of his relationship with his campaign manager, Charlie Wilson. LOL

Don’t you get tired of Glenn Heran and Steve Faherty telling everyone that City Council candidates are either “pro-sale” or “anti-sale”? Given the current conditions of all that matters regarding the “sale” there is not a chance that any candidate could move the sale of Vero Electric forward. End of story. I think that since Dr. Faherty flaunts his PHD it might be time to say that his PHD probably means piled high and deeper considering his BS on this subject.

While we are on the subject of Vero Electric what do you think of Councilpersons Turner and Howle voting to accept the FPL offer of a partial sale? FPL tried to acquire about 3,000 Vero Electric customers in the Shores. Yep Turner and Howle voted for Vero to accept their offer after it became clear that if Vero took the offer the very City that they are supposed to be representing probably would have to raise their prices on their City residents.

Let me ask another question. If you were elected to represent City residents and you instead appeared to be representing the residents of the Shores , wouldn’t that be malfeasants? And, one more question. If it were as blatant as it appears (representing the Shores instead of Vero Beach) would it not be perhaps a reason for a lawsuit against Turner and Howle? Just asking.

Oh, while we are on the subject of possibilities about lawsuits, we could probably throw Laura Moss into the mix too. Do you think City Council Candidate Laura Moss, Lange Sykes and Norman Wells might be running for seats on the Council in order to benefit citizens who do NOT live in the City at the cost of Vero Citizens?

And, if elected, if their votes would substantiate these kind of allegations would they be subject to a law suit too. I know that a few years ago, most of the City Council in the West Palm area were doing time, yes, jail time when they were found guilty of ????? As you can see, I do not know the details but I do know that those elected officials did jail time. I guess as long as were are talking lawsuits, I would probably throw Tracy Carroll and Craig Fletcher into the mix too because they, along with Pilar Turner were quick to sign a “sale” to FPL before the Utility was cleared of all contracts in order to be able to sell.

I have never believed most of what Charlie Wilson has said in his political life so I do not believe him now. Many people think Wilson’s association with The Davis campaign cost Davis the election, and I am one of them. This was a campaign that should have been an easy Davis win, but because of Wilson’s involvement, Davis went down to defeat. Two of the stunts Wilson had Davis perform cost Davis many votes. Readers of the Press Journal saw front page evidence of this.

  2. Jonas says:

In regards to the Wesley Davis defeat, he was NOT qualified for the job. Wilson was probably looking for a job along with a few of Wesleys cronies. This is not a political job even tho its an elected one. If someone is doing a good job it shouldn’t matter how long he has been there, and David Nolte has.

  3. Bea-isms says:

I agree with both Cedric and Jonas. I’m glad the Property Appraisers race had the outcome that it did. And, the best part of it is that we will not be producing another Ken Pruitt.

Laura Moss may be confused at times When she crosses over the Barber Bridge. Does she want to keep going north on A1A into Indian River Shores which she represents so well at Vero Utility Commission meetings and when she does her monologue at Vero council meetings. She does a good job of representing Indian River Shores, unfortunately she lives in Vero and is running for the Vero city council again. I hope she has a good GPS in her car.

They should change the name of the Code Enforcement meetings to the Liars Club.
