Jim Stevens, director of the Vero Beach Electric Power Plant has just announced his retirement. What does this mean? Hmmm.
Getting out while the gettin’ is good? The crowd who claim not to be lobbying for FPL (Heran, Feherty, Heady, etc) are doing their wardance around the campfire and drummin’ everyone into a frenzy — word gets out. Vero is going down…..just like the Titanic–but more likely sabotage than iceberg. Or maybe Mr. Stevens is sick of the whole on-hold mess. I am.
I heard he found another job nearer to his up north family. Can you imagine how many Vero Beach employees are out looking for another job. Especially the policemen.
Brick by brick….
After hearing some of the policemen talk about the overwhelming stress level as they wait to hear what their fate may be, I wondered how much longer they or their spouses can take this. Their jobs provide more than enough stress without this extra stuff. Our lives shift from time to time. Obviously Mr. Stevens had a desire to be closer to family. Can’t blame him.
